Hello! I am Ijeoma

I am overjoyed that you discovered me here!

Among the many hats that I wear, I am an ardent lover of Jesus, a wife, a mother, and a wife of a media consultant and trainer. In addition, I am the woman who has been spotted walking around in a torrential downpour looking for a hen and her chicks, bottle-feeding a baby goat to save his life, and caring for more than fifty rabbits in her home. Yes, I love nature and animals (mostly domestic).

Over thirty years ago, an encounter with God changed my life forever, setting me on a path that I remain eternally grateful for. For me, there is no greater joy than seeing a life transformed, thriving, and adding value to other lives.

Family

Patrick and I have been married for twenty-seven years. And we have served the Lord for over three decades.

We are blessed with five precious arrows in our small quiver, which range in age from preteen to teens and young adults.

And despite my initial reluctance, homeschooling our children has turned out to be one of the most daring and rewarding decisions I have ever made. I consider myself privileged to be a wife and mother in this amazing family.

And it is a joy to be able to share wisdom from God's Word along with the lessons I have learned on my own journey to help others; thanks to this great God whose continuous work in my life can only be described as miraculous.

Our vision is to see individuals and families be more productive and fulfilled in their daily lives, their faith, homes, and calling.

I believe in the family...

Yes, I am a stickler for the family. It remains the oldest and most influential institution. The home each of us grew up in as children played a significant role in who we have become today. It is the birthplace and nurturing ground of great leaders and visions. Sadly, it is also the place where potentials were killed and destinies destroyed. But I believe that this narrative can be changed as we do everything within our power to ensure that our homes and communities become grounds for nurturing and shaping lives.

So, I worked with children for decades, before and after I became a mother. I also had the dream-come-true privilege of serving as a high school student fellowship coordinator for a couple of years.

Through all of this, I came to understand firsthand how important it is to raise a child intentionally if you want to see a matured adult who is spiritually, physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially adjusted enough to make a difference in his or her community and in the global space.

Nothing influences a child's development more than the active or passive participation of his or her parents in raising him or her.

It was this understanding that inspired me to write a parenting book to support parents as they navigate their lives and parenthood.

Working with high school students was really huge for me because from elementary through high school, I attended 'Christian' schools that provided us with neither the environment nor the opportunity to know the Lord personally. Because of this, when I gave my heart to the Lord at nineteen and realized the impact that that choice had on my life, I started to dream of establishing fellowship in schools to help students develop a relationship with the Lord so that as they grew older and matured, they could make better choices and lead wholesomelives.

Another discovery that I have made on my journey over the years is the importance of purposeful leadership. Like King Solomon, I too have seen an evil under the sun, and it is that where visionary leadership is lacking, great potentials and resources will be wasted and destroyed. I have seen lives, projects, and nations frustrated, abandoned, and destroyed due to poor leadership. I have also had the privilege of seeing families and nations transformed by great leadership skills. We need wise and capable leaders. And there is no better place to start this process than in the home. I am all about seeing great leaders emerge from our homes and into the larger society.

And of course...

Purposefulness...

Having a clear sense of purpose provides the needed direction, motivation, and sense of meaning that we all crave in order to have a more fulfilling and satisfying life.

And we hope that through the opportunities given to us by the Lord, more and more people and families will experience this profound sense of fulfillment on a daily basis.

Collaboration...

I am in no way claiming to have all the answers. None of us do. But if we come together sharing what we have, a lot could be done to change the narratives around our personal lives, our families, our careers/callings, and the broader society. And that's the goal of theGenerationssite; to help you and yours to arise and shine to the glory of God.
